Italy’s Hierophant prove a continued force to be reckoned with as the metallic d-beat crusaders gear up to drop latest full-length, Peste, via Bridge Nine Records on November 25th. This follow-up to 2013’s acclaimed Great Mother: Holy Monster LP sees the band moving into still heavier and more uncompromising territory. Apart from the tasty delivery of pummeling d-beats, blasts, sludge-ridden grooves, and everything in-between, Hierophant display that they also have an ear for production. With a team of skilled audio-hands at the helm, including recording efforts by Alex Conti at MV Multimedia Studio, mixing by Taylor Young at The Pit Studio, and mastering by Alan Douches (Baroness, Every Time I Die) at West West Side Studio– Peste is thick, raw, and punchy, but maintains a level clarity allowing for each instrument to shine with haunting nuances and smoldering layers of distortion. Fans of Martyrdöd, Nails, and The Secret should find a lot to love here. We won’t go overboard on the write-up as we have a full-feature interview with Hierophant coming very soon!
Without further ado enjoy an exclusive world premiere of song ‘Paranoia’ featured on the forthcoming Bridge Nine Records’ LP, Peste. You can pre-order Peste on vinyl, cd, or download formats at the B9 Store.
